Students compare multi-digit numbers, using inequality symbols to record the results, and count within one thousand, including counting by 5s, 10s and 100s. Students use their place value understanding to add and subtract within one thousand, including mentally adding and subtracting 10 or 100. Students represent their thinking using concrete objects, visual representations and written methods.
