Common Core Math: Expressions & Equations
From sixth to eighth grade, students apply and extend previous understandings of arithmetic to work with algebraic expressions, in which variables stand for unknown or changing numbers. Students build fluency in writing and manipulating expressions and in solving equations and inequalities, including those with exponents and radicals. Students represent and analyze relationships between dependent and independent variables and explore proportional relationships and linear equations.
